B & L Labels and Packaging manufactures several products that are used to allow re-closure of a product packaged in a bag or pouch.  The package may be opened and then repeatedly re-closed by use of a section of the label that has a removeable adhesive applied in a stripe pattern on it.  There is also an area that has a permanent adhesive to hold the re-closure label in place. The entire label may also be designed to use a removeable adhesive if the re-closure needs to be moved by the end user. The "Top" of the label has a tab area where there is no adhesive, which allows the end user to grip the re-closure and pull it down during use. Most are used for food (snacks) and beverage (coffee & tea).  The labels can be automatically applied on vertical form and fill machines or on horizontal wrapping machines.

These labels may also have a “Target” mid-ply in their design that acts as a surface for the removeable adhesive to be applied.  This “Target” has a permanent adhesive on it’s entire back side to prevent it from being removed from the package.

These labels are all manufactured using either polyester or a polypropylene film in white or clear colors.  The labels may be printed up to eight colors and may have a U.V. cured coating applied to prevent smearing and smudging of the graphics. We can also apply an over-laminate to the top layer of these labels for added strength and durability. Most of these labels have instruction printed on them; the graphics may be of your choice.  They may also be used as a point of purchase –i.e. Cents Off  Promotion label.  We also manufacture a version of this label that includes an Instantly Redeemable Coupon (IRC) for double use.  The coupon becomes the outer layer of the re-closure.  The re-closure label remains in place after the IRC has been removed for redemption.

Various sizes may be used, but most customers keep the size in the 1” x 2-3/4” – 3” range.  The overall configuration needs to be designed for ease of application and end use.
